I can't stay connected more than 10 minutes at a time anymore. I keep getting this message when I get disconnected: Software caused connection abort. We can't seem to figure out the problem. I have had a channel on undernet for almost 8 years now and this problem has practically killed it. Can anyone help me?

That could be a connection problem from your internet service provided to you or a problem with the server in which you connect. A solution to this problem: try to connect to another server - undernet server list http://www.undernet.org/servers.php - if this will not work you really should call your internet provider and notify them of the problem and they ought to check it.

About the channel; if the channel got purged, all you can do is to try to apply for it again if you want it registered. More info about X and registered channels you`ll find on #CService via irc
