Get a good protection for anything.. shut down your computer and get a life. :) I do use Norton and I keep it up-to-date and till now didn't had any surprises with it. I've heard from some friends that it sucks I till now he didn't failed to detect any malicious viruses that wanted to get access to my computer, if any. :P

You can`t know what viruses/trojans are onto your computer untill your antivirus detects them unless you are an antivirus specialist or you see an simptom by mistake (your computer spamming, or open ports opened by unknown programs, unknown/strange files etc)
One suggestion caesar: Test your Norton ... just do an free online scan on http://housecall.trendmicro.com (Remember disable your firewall and your antivirus solution during the scan) and also get "The Cleaner" from http://www.moosoft.com/thecleaner/download.php

about 10% from all drones connected to Undernet in this moment use predefined idents. It's obsolete. YOu might 'save' a few hosts but you should keep thinking at the invisible 90%

There are way more characteristics besides ident. the current detection is just to get rid of those, but can be adapted to do more. In the end it should be created as service that links as server, able to get rid of nasty things as soon as they connect :)

Don't be too proud of your DroneScan. It might sound cool but that's all. You are missing the most drones.
ahh and don't forget to try /who ~username for subseven ;)

Any contribution received that helps effectively combat this kind of nasty abuse is more than welcomed.

Dude, a more helpful constructive criticism is expected. Thanks for your concern.

All my best

I have a few ideas... first, give me some power :) or neah...
Undernet should have
- a list of fullnames
- a list of ports
- a list of wildcards (nicks, idents and addresses)
to autogline on connect
By the way, I have seen a few drones killed (don't know why) with the reason "Auto g-lined". Can someone explain that gline for me ?

yeah well, nice idea, but how long until Undernet actually takes pro active steps to minimise such drones?

nothing about being "proud" at all. in fact, you missed the point, but then again, you often do.

Hey Dude, the main idea is not to kline or gline drones, but remove them.
Fullnames? What for?
nicks, idents .. what for?
keep in mind that a drone is running without the user (owner of a PC) knowledge .. so every time the PC starts the drone connects and join irc ..

Changed, before you slap someone... how you planning on "removing" it? by figure out which one of the 3+ drones on irc that are connected is the real user? by mailing them without knowing their mail-addresses? by messaging each bot to see if one replies with a normal answer that could tell you it's a user?

Once that has been found (goodluck on finding them) then maybe it might help, if not, they should be removed as in g-line or k-line as the MOTD of every server says.
