apparently there were some rule changes that i am unaware of. here is my situation:
i was using the channel #mp3quebec for about 3 years. but since yesterday i have real problems joining this channel and many other channels too.
i keep getting this message: #mp3quebec unable to join channel (address is banned)
i went to #mp3quebecaide, which is a help channel for #mp3quebec. there a guy with a nickname [T][K][L] explained me, that it is because of my local host, which is pacbell.net. (my internet provider is SBC Yahoo! DSL) he also told me that I have to register my nickname at
http://cservice.undernet.org/live/
i've just did it, and I understand that I have to create "hotmask" for my username, but I do not know how to do it. i tried to use the template command: /msg x access <#channel> Test2K3, but i got the message:
* You are not on a channel
after that:
-> *x* access <#mp3quebec> myusername
and then:
-X- Sorry, You must be logged in to use this command.
I am completely lost and cannot understant how to access channels anymore. Is there some kind of tutorial or userguide where I can read how to access the channels?
P.S.: operator at #mp3quebecaide are really rude. kick you out in no time without really explaining things, and do comments "i have no time for blabbering here".
