gline issues do NOT belong in the channel service help section of this forum.

TheJudge,

Typically these wide glines occur when the ISP does not show interest in removing their abusive users, or restricting their access. Wide bans are added to remove a lot of abusers. That shows lack of interest from the ISP officials in limiting their abuse by all means.

In order for the gline to be removed, an official representative of the ISP should contact abuse@undernet.org and explain the situation, asking for this wide ban to be removed. However, the ISP is expected to collaborate with the network operators in removing their abusive clients, if you wish such situations not to occur again.

TheJudge, Undernet does check user connections for misconfigured/open proxy to help prevent abuse over its guests. Also, more than 3 connections from same user@host are subject to G-lines (network bans). Although this might represent a problem for some people, the network cannot make exceptions and has to apply wide restrictions to protect its resources and services that are offered FREE (i.e. at NO cost).

I suggest you read the following texts as they contain useful and critical information regarding the Undernet's terms of services and use.
