RDS's problem with the *.undernet.org DNSs is well known. Please use irc server's IP instead to connect.
Choose from the following:
Budapest.HU.EU.UnderNet.Org 94.125.182.255
Bucharest.Ro.Eu.UnderNet.Org 82.76.255.62
Zurich.CH.EU.UnderNet.Org 194.8.75.183
Tampa.FL.US.UnderNet.Org 208.83.20.130
Lidingo.SE.EU.UnderNet.Org 130.237.188.216
Mesa.AZ.US.UnderNet.Org 173.245.201.28

The permanent fix would be to set your connection ( pppoe or router ) to use other DNS servers than RDS's, like 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 ( Google DNS servers )

Rufus, I am currently experiencing the same problem with connection. I tried selecting ‘Zurich.CH.EU.UnderNet.Org 194.8.75.183’ IP from your list and it worked fine. Does this mean that I have to use this IP always? I wanted to know if it is possible for me to use my own IP. Please help me out!
