I only recently began to use IRC, i've spent most of my time on undernet in the #beginner channel

i decided to go ahead and register a username

i had trouble getting into my mom's isp email ( I'm 15 and my mom pays the internet in my house) she wasnt up to turning on the comp so i could retrieve it...

anyways, I'm using chatzilla as my client

this is what i get everytime i try to connect to undernet

how do i make it so that undernet activates or enables my ident?

First, lose chatzilla as your client. use mIRC. get it from http://mirc.com/get.html then connect to any undernet servers. For a list with the undernet servers, see http://www.undernet.org/servers.php ; To get authenticated with your newly registered username, use /msg X@channels.undernet.org login username_goes_here password_here

Hi .. I have a question. I registered a nickname but i made a mistake with the email add. Supposed to be g.leunis not gleunis@tele2.nl. What should i do?

Considering that 24 hours has already passed, you may reapply for the username you want to register again. Here's the link http://cservice.undernet.org/live/newuser.php

I know you meant *username* by nickname as nicknames are free in undernet, just wanted to add that part for prevent any confusion it may cause.

I'm using my cell phone's 3G network as my connecting point to the internet. My roommates don't want to pitch in for internet service, so I'm just using it for myself and not sharing. When I try to sign in nothing happens, and I'm curious if it's because of the way I'm attempting to connect? I have a feeling I'm going to have to go ahead and sign up for broadband in order to be able to connect. I also tried it at my mom's place on her Wi-Fi, and it didn't work there either. Which I mentioned in an earlier post. So could it have something to do with my MAC address?
